Theatre, or the theater toward which I feel drawn, should emotionally/socially/physically open up the participants. It’s exploration. It’s catharsis. It’s connection. It allows us to question where we are and where we want to be.
This play appeared at a vitally significant place/time in my life. A time of transition and curiosity with open space for discovery and connection. To me, Ardor is a piece about passion and searching for people/objects/art that bring humans closer to one another… Or poses questions about why we feel an affinity toward certain people or things. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it.
Excitement is spurred by innovation and adventure. Reading about and engaging with ideas that are new to me gives me immense please. At the present, I am inspired by Stuart Davis, Joni Mitchell and Maggie Nelson.
Eating is my best talent.
I can burp on command.
I read Atlas Shrugged when I was 17 (not recommended).
